pconf-detect software package provides Small printer auto-detect command-line tool, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pconf-detect
pconf-detect is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pconf-detect package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pconf-detect *
You will get with pconf-detect package name, version, architecture and description in a table
